"With Ricky heading for graduation in June, I keep thinking about how much our family is grateful for everything the school and teachers and staff have done for us, personally. I find myself singing the school’s praises every chance I get, and recommending it to families with HS students needing something that works for them like it worked for Ricky. So I’m writing this to see if you or anyone else there can think of ways I can promote the school to the public, as a very grateful parent. PVHS changed the course of Ricky’s life in such a positive way – I’ll be forever grateful. Two years ago both Ricky and I were often in tears and wondering if he would ever be able to finish HS; his entire future seemed, for lack of a better term, doomed to a very bumpy and difficult road; and it was scary for both of us.
Fast forward two years to today: Ricky is going to graduate in June, ON TIME, and is heading directly to college in August. Not only that, but he really, really believes in himself again – something he lost in his old school setting, and something the other school could not make time for. In other words, it felt to me they viewed him as a “throw away” student. PVHS staff told us otherwise. And PVHS staff was right. I will never forget what all of you have done to get Ricky back on track and moving forward in his life with dignity."
